CivicConnect Citizen Portal
An e-governance portal for citizen applications and grievances. — Client: District Municipal Office
What We Built
The district office wanted to digitise certificate applications and grievance redressal, processes that previously required citizens to visit government offices in person and wait in queues for routine paperwork. Techomaxx was asked to build a citizen-facing portal that could handle this volume while remaining accessible to a population with varying levels of digital literacy and language preference.
We built a multi-language citizen portal supporting online submission of certificate applications and grievances, with document upload built directly into the application flow so citizens did not need to submit paperwork separately. Applicants could track the status of their submission online at any time, and the system sent SMS notifications at each key stage so citizens without regular internet access could still stay informed.
Because routine applications no longer required an in-person visit to check status or submit documents, the portal significantly reduced the number of citizens needing to visit the office in person for matters that could now be handled entirely online. The multi-language support also meant the portal was usable by a wider range of the district's population than an English-only system would have reached.
This project reflects the e-governance work Techomaxx does: building citizen service portals with application tracking, document upload and SMS notifications designed to work for diverse, high-volume public user bases.
