FarmLink Supply Chain App
A mobile app connecting farmers directly with buyers. — Client: FarmLink Cooperative
What We Built
FarmLink Cooperative wanted to connect its member farmers directly with produce buyers, cutting out the multiple layers of middlemen that were reducing the price farmers ultimately received for their harvest. The challenge was building something usable by farmers in areas where internet connectivity could not be relied upon at all times.
Techomaxx built an offline-first mobile app that let farmers list their produce, including quantity, quality grade and asking price, even without an active internet connection, syncing automatically once a connection became available. On the buyer side, we built a web portal where wholesalers and retailers could browse available produce and place orders directly, with an automated matching system pairing buyer requirements against farmer listings and keeping pricing transparent to both sides.
By removing several intermediary steps between farm and buyer, and by making pricing visible to everyone in the transaction, the platform helped member farmers realise better prices for their produce starting from the first harvest cycle it was used in. The offline-first design meant farmers in low-connectivity areas were not excluded from participating.
This project reflects the agriculture-sector work Techomaxx does: building offline-capable farm management and marketplace tools that connect farmers directly with buyers and bring transparency to produce pricing.
