StreamBox OTT Platform

StreamBox Media wanted to launch a regional OTT streaming platform but needed infrastructure that could handle unpredictable viewer demand, particularly during promotional pushes when large numbers of viewers might arrive at once. They also needed a way for their editorial team to manage content without relying on engineering for every update.

Techomaxx built a cloud-hosted streaming service with adaptive bitrate playback, so video quality adjusted automatically to each viewer's connection speed, along with subscription billing built into the platform and a content management dashboard that let StreamBox's editorial team upload, schedule and organise content independently. The cloud architecture was designed to scale horizontally as viewer demand increased rather than requiring manual intervention during traffic spikes.

During a promotional launch campaign, the platform faced a large concurrent viewer spike and continued to scale smoothly, giving StreamBox confidence that the infrastructure could support future growth campaigns without playback issues for viewers. The editorial dashboard also meant content updates no longer bottlenecked on developer availability.

This project is representative of the entertainment-sector work Techomaxx does: building streaming platforms with adaptive playback, subscription billing and editorial tooling designed to hold up under high-concurrency demand spikes.
